Sievistä maailmalle ponnistanut elektroniikan sopimusvalmistaja Scanfil on ostanut australialaisen SRXGlobalin 23,3 miljoonalla eurolla. SRX:llä on kaksi hyvällä paikalla sijaitsevaa tehdasta Australiassa Melbournessa sekä Malesiassa Johor Bahrussa. Tehtaissa on yhteensä 8 automatisoitua SMT-linjaa ja noin 300 työntekijää.
Scanfilin toimitusjohtaja Christophe Sutin mukaan kauppa tuo yritykselle uusia asiakkaita. - Lisäksi se antaa nykyisille asiakkaillemme mahdollisuuden laajentaa toimintaansa kanssamme nopeasti kasvavan Aasian ja Tyynenmeren uusille alueille.
SRX on pitkään toiminut ja hyvin johdettu sopimusvalmistaja, joka on keskittynyt monimutkaisiin, matalan ja keskisuuren tuotantovolyymin tuotteisiin ja tunnettuihin kansainvälisiin asiakkaisiin.
SRX on toimitusjohtajansa Paul Abblebyn mukaan keskittynyt lääketieteellisiin ja teollisiin aloihin, ja vaativien tuotteiden valmistukseen.
Kaupan jälkeen Scanfilillä on tehtaat Sievissä, Saksan Futhassa, Ruotsin Åtvidabergissä, sekä Kiinan Suzhoussa, Atlantassa Yhdysvalloissa, Viron Pärnussa, Puolan Myslowicessa ja Sieradzissa, sekä nyt Melbournessa ja Malesiassa.
